Discover how GINNGER is transforming indoor air quality with a low-cost, AI-powered CO₂ ventilation system validated across real-life settings in Europe.

As partner of the GINNGER project, CERTH has recently published latest research showcasing a smart, low-intrusiveness CO₂-based ventilation system. The study introduces a deep learning approach that forecasts indoor CO₂ levels using only historical CO₂ data eliminating the need for costly, multi-sensor infrastructure.

Tested in diverse real-life settings across Spain, Portugal, Denmark, and Greece, the system provides real-time ventilation recommendations to improve indoor air quality and energy efficiency. The model achieved up to 97% predictive accuracy in large rooms, offering a scalable solution for healthier, more sustainable buildings.
