Key updates from the GINNGER project’s meeting, including digital tools, e-mobility, and co-creation community workshops.
The GINNGER project reached a significant milestone with the recent Scientific Committee meeting that Azienda Elettrica di Massagno (AEM) and SUPSI held in Massagno yesterday and today. This meeting marked an important moment as we are almost at the halfway point of the project (M17). Therefore, the team gathered to evaluate the progress of the various Work Packages (WPs).
Day 1: Pilot Site Visit and E-Mobility Integration
The first day provided a unique opportunity to visit the Massagno pilot site. During the visit, we explored the plans for integrating e-mobility into the city’s regeneration efforts. The strong relationship with the municipality and the immediate feedback that AEM will collect from users will play a pivotal role in shaping the regeneration actions in the city.

Day 2: Work Packages Update and Action Plan
On the second day, the WPs update session offered a comprehensive overview of the progress made thus far. Notably, it was revealed that most of the digital tools have now been developed and are preparing to enter the deployment and testing phase. This marks a key advancement toward ensuring the project’s technological objectives are on track.
Additionally, the co-creation methodology, which forms the cornerstone of the project’s inclusive approach, has been fully designed. Workshops with local communities have already begun, providing valuable insights and opportunities to implement the methodology in real-life settings. These workshops will continue throughout the project, offering hands-on testing and refinement until its completion.

Looking Ahead
With the first reporting period coming to a close, the progress made across the WPs reflects the project’s commitment to creating inclusive and participatory processes for neighborhood regeneration. The deployment and testing of digital tools, coupled with the active involvement of local communities in co-creation workshops, positions GINNGER for continued success in the second half of the project.
