On 13 and 14 May 2026, GINNGER's team gathered in Italy for its periodical meeting, to share updates and plan upcoming activities.

The two-day reunion was firstly the occasion to visit Orte, the project’s Italian tester, where GINNGER is developing renovation actions and testing digital solutions.

Here, the local developers (RIMOND and Biodistretto), guided the whole team along the way where they’re planning to build a 5.5-kilometer bike and pedestrian path connecting the two ends of the city, passing through a rural area.

In addition, the project partners were shown other revitalisation projects developed in Orte, including the energy-efficient renovation of the “Clock Tower”, in the old city center, and of the local schools and sport facilities.

To conclude, GINNGER’s team was also guided in a visit of Orte’s ruins of the dovehouse, the nimphaeum, the hospital and snow pit – discovering the town’s history.

On the following day, partners met at RIMOND’s premises in Rome to provide updates on the different project’s activities and to share ideas and plans for the upcoming 6 months.

GINNGER is more than halfway through its term and the first results are starting to come in.
