GINNGER brings a new cycle route to Orte, enhancing sustainable mobility and eco-friendly transport.
Yesterday, March 18th, 2025, marked a significant milestone for the GINNGER project in Orte, one of its pilot sites. Our partners RIMOND and Comune di Orte convened a productive meeting with local landowners. The meeting focused on a key urban mobility challenge: enhancing connectivity between the city centre and the train station through a sustainable and community-driven approach.

At the heart of the discussion was the co-creation of a new cycle route that will traverse a scenic natural area of the city. This initiative aligns with GINNGER’s commitment to fostering inclusive and participatory urban regeneration processes while promoting eco-friendly transport solutions. By engaging local stakeholders in the decision-making process, the project aims to ensure that the cycle route not only improves mobility but also enhances the local environment and meets the community’s needs.

To further support this initiative, additional citizen engagement activities will take place in May. These activities will aim to raise awareness about the benefits of sustainable mobility and encourage active participation in the project. By involving the local community, the GINNGER project ensures that this initiative is both meaningful and impactful, fostering a more accessible and environmentally friendly urban space for all.

Stay tuned for updates on the next steps in this exciting transformation for Orte!
